# Faxbeep docs

> How the free fax test service at faxbeep.com behaves: test types, results, privacy, limits and messages.

Faxbeep receives test faxes, scans and Internet Faxes, and shows each one on [faxbeep.com](https://faxbeep.com). The service is free, and you do not need an account. Faxbeep only receives: it does not send faxes. Faxbeep is a free service from the creators of [PayPerFax](https://payperfax.com/), the original pay per fax service.

These docs say how the service behaves: what you can send, what the result shows, how long a test stays public, the limits, and the messages you can get back.

  Each test is public for 30 days. Anyone can open it on faxbeep.com. Use a test page with no personal or confidential data. To remove a test sooner, see [Remove a fax](/privacy/remove-a-fax).
