# My fax does not appear

> Causes and fixes when a test does not show on faxbeep.com.

A test usually appears on faxbeep.com in 1 to 2 minutes. The list of test results updates by itself. If your test does not appear, find the cause below, fix it, and send again.

## Causes

    A test usually appears in 1 to 2 minutes. Wait a few minutes before you send it again.

  <Accordion title="The list did not update">
    The list of test results updates by itself while the page is open. If your test does not show after a few minutes, reload the page.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The fax call did not connect">
    Faxbeep shows nothing for a call that failed. Read the transmission report of your machine. Check that you dialled one of the test numbers:

    Each fax number is also a test email address: the digits of the international number, with no plus, then `@faxbeep.com`.

  <Accordion title="It is in a group">
    Tests from the same sender that look alike are shown as one stack, with a count on it. After a reload, your test can be inside a stack. Click the stack to see each test in it. See [Groups](/results/groups).

  <Accordion title="The sender shows as Unknown">
    Many tests arrive with no sender number. Then the sender shows as "Unknown". Look for your test by the time it arrived and the page count. See [How the sender shows](/results/sender).

  <Accordion title="It could not be processed">
    The test arrived, but Faxbeep could not show its pages. Its page shows "This fax could not be processed. Please try sending again."

    Send it again. For a test by email, use a lower resolution or another file format.

  <Accordion title="It was removed">
    Each test is removed after 30 days, or sooner on a request. Its page then shows "This fax has been removed per our privacy policy." or "This fax has been removed per user request." See [Public for 30 days](/privacy/public-for-30-days).

  <Accordion title="Email test: the machine shows a message from Faxbeep">
    Faxbeep refused the email. Your email reached Faxbeep, so your machine can send email. Change the file as the message says. See [Email refusal messages](/troubleshooting/email-refusals).

  <Accordion title="Email test: the machine shows a send error of its own">
    The email did not leave your machine. Check the outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings of the machine: the server name, the port, the login and the encryption.

  <Accordion title="Email test: nothing appears and there is no message">
    Check the address first. Faxbeep does not answer email to a number that is not one of its test numbers. Use the digits of the international number, with no plus, then `@faxbeep.com`. See [Scan to email](/tests/scan-to-email).

    If the address is correct, wait a few minutes and send again.

  <Accordion title="Email test: only one page appears">
    Your machine probably sent one file for each page. Faxbeep shows one file for each email. Set the scan file format to PDF or TIFF, so that all pages are in one file.
