Faxbeep receives test faxes and test emails, and shows them on faxbeep.com. This page lists what it does not do, and what to use instead.

Send a fax

Faxbeep only receives. It cannot send a fax to you or to anyone else. To send a fax, use PayPerFax (below).

Test that your machine receives

A test with Faxbeep checks that your machine can send. To check that it receives, someone must send a fax to your number. PayPerFax, from the same team, can send one fax with no subscription.

PayPerFax

Send one fax and pay only for that fax. Use it to send a test fax to your own machine.

Private tests

Each test is public for 30 days. There is no private mode. To remove a test sooner, see Remove a fax.

Colour by phone

A fax by phone must be black and white. A test by email can be in colour.

More than one file in one email

Faxbeep shows one file for each email. Put all pages in one PDF or TIFF file.

A reply email or a delivery report

Faxbeep does not send a reply email. To see the result, look for your page on faxbeep.com. If Faxbeep refuses an email, your mail server reports a short message. See Email refusal messages.

Text that you can select in the PDF of an email test

Faxbeep rebuilds each file as a PDF that holds only images of the pages. You cannot select the text. See The fax page.

A test of your fax line by email

Scan to email and Internet Fax use your network, not a phone line. To test a fax line, send a fax by phone. See Fax test.

Accounts

There are no accounts. You do not need to sign up to send a test.
